Before the Miss Austria competition, Izabela Ion made friends with a fellow competitor, Daria Schuricht. Both girls reside in Lauterbach, Izabela's hometown, together they organized a charity event for that went towards the charity section of Miss Austria, the event was in support of the SOS Children's Villages Educational Program.
